Can anyone tell me what the office fees for a real estate agent are at KW, Real Estate One and Century 21?

I use to work at Keller Williams and have had my license in escrow for about 5 years now. I wanted to get back into an office for some personal business and would be a part time agent. Just wanted to see what office fees were at this time.

  1. It depends on the agency. All those companies for the most part are all franchised offices. As far as fees go it would depend on the office (since all of them are privately owned). Best thing I can recommend is to know what YOU want. When I am looking for an office to work for I first outline what my business model is, what my focus is going to be on, then I find a company to compliment those strengths. If the company does not fit my goals, and the business I want to focus on then its off my list. Most agencies offer a standard split for part time agents. Standard would be anywhere from 55%-70%. Some companies such as exit realty make the franchise owners offer 70% as a flat split for ALL agents. Call around, ask around, see what the story is. Best advice is as I said....know what you want, then go and interview. Best of luck!
  2. There are local Virtual real estate offices that you might consider, that might charge you less than Keller Williams might charge. Of course you could work out of your home or at the office, your choice. You would be required to take care of all the logistical support you would need such as telephone service, fax, computer and MLS requirements. If you just simply want to work for a brand name then simply call Keller Williams, Real Estate One and Century-21 to find out the cost and requirements of having your license in their office. I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck. "FIGHT ON"
