If i buy an xbox from ebay or another bidding site, Will it be under warranty if it gets the 3 red lights?

I want to buy an xbox, but if it gets the red lights, is it still warrantied?

1. as long as it hasnt been registered to the person your buying it from then yes. As far as I know they dont require proof of purchase, they just need the serial number and the system mailed to them(they pay for shipping)
2. As long as the warranty seal is intact and it has not been registered it is still under warranty.
