Belt Auction

How do I find out about what the local government is auctioning off?

I know there are some really great deals to be taken advantage of at local car/house auctions of seized property, but every website I go to for the information about it makes you join their site/pay for membership. That has "scam" written all over it. Is there a way to get a list for free off the internet or elsewhere? Thanks!

  1. Simply call them. The number can be found in the White pages under Government.
  2. Go to government deals.com
  3. Under the Local Government Code, Local Governments can auction non-serviceable equipment or materials. This is submitted to the auditor for pre-inspection and later, the auction will be published in newspapers. There is a bidding process during the auction, the highest bidder will take the auctioned material/s. To find out what local government is auctioning off, contact the local Auditors office or the General Services Office, they usually have the list of materials to auctioned.
