Ebay final value fees? HELP!?

I have been back and forth with Ebay trying to find out what the final sales fee would be for an auction if it sold for (example) $2,200.00. I thought this was a very simple question, but all they keep doing is sending me generic pre-fabricated responses that are completely of the wrong topic and entirely un-helpful. Does Ebay even have real people working for their Customer Service? Anyway, that's not the question I'm here to ask... Here's what I need from you good folks: Does anyone here know what percentage Ebay charges after a listing has sold? I think they call it the Final Value Fee or Final Sale Fee. If so, PLEASE tell me so I know if I'm better off taking what I have to a Live Auctioneer. Thanks in advance!

  1. it is usually 10% of the price at the end of the sale!
  2. It depends on how you listed the item. If you listed it "auction style," the calculation is quite complicated. The most straightforward way seems to be the $0.00 Insertion Fee auction-style listings, in which the final value fee is either 9% of the winning bid or $20, whichever is less.
