When I Use PayPal to Pay for an eBay Auction, Why Does PayPal Try to Convince Me to Use My Bank Account?
It seems that the people at PayPal do not want users to use their personal credit cards to pay for won auctions. >>>>WHY IS THAT?<<<< Two thoughts that I have are that PayPal makes less money on the transaction or PayPal loses it's ability to tell the winner of the auction that they are SOL when something goes wrong. When you use your credit card you can still use your credit card company to dispute charges. Thank you for your thoughts.

- I think cuz they get charged a credit card fee
- because paypal are dirty dirty a...wipes. with your bank, you are not covered if the seller doesent send your item or sends you a crappy item. you have to go through useless paypal to get a refund - which might happen in months, or never.. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS 100% of the time pay with a credit card, that way you are STILL! protected with crappy paypals "buyer protection" but if that doesent work, you just call up your card and do a chargeback. paypal does this so they can keep more of your money, and not have to pay the credit card transaction costs - it costs them maybe 2% and 25 cents for every transaction they process through credit cards - imagine the millions of dollars they are saving by telling people to use bank accounts - and therefore screwing the people from having any GOOD buyer protection.
- there is an order of preference on your account. Wether by bank card, or bank draft, you always choose your method, if you prefer one over the other, you have the final say so.
