Are old Avon cologne containers worth anything.?

I have found alot of old Avon cologne containers. Some shaped like cars, boots, trucks, etc. Someone told me they were collectables. Are they worth anything or should I just throw them away?

1. I used to own an ebay drop center. An old man asked if we could sell some old A-1 bottles. I said to go ahead and bring them in not really knowing what he was talking about. He brought in around 150 Avon bottles. I tried selling them by themselves. Nothing. I tried selling them with a buy it now for $20.00. I got one offer for $5.00. I just gave the man back his avon bottles. I did read later on that this is one thing that DOES NOT sell on ebay. There are some people who collect them but without the boxes they are worthless... 2. yes they are there are collectors u'll be getting some offers here
3. Sometimes they are. Usually to collectors of Old Avon bottles. Hang on to them or sell them on e-bay to the highest bidder.
4. yes save them and some day they will be useful.
