Milkshake machine leaving black rubber in drinks. Does rubber seal need replacing or wearing in?
We have just bought a new milkshake machine (industrial) from an auction. When I tried it out bits of black rubber kept ending up sprayed around the edges of the cup. Does anyone know if this means the seal at the top of the arm is perished (it looks fine) or does it need be be used a few times for the rubber close to the metal to wear away from the spinning mixer arm?

- it needs to be replaced immediately! it's dry-rotted and those particles are disintegrating rubber gasket! FIX IT before you drink those milkshakes!!!!!!
- something isn't right, your rubber rings all need to be lubricated with food grade lubricant. Take it apart and lube all rubber and reassemble.
