Belt Auction

What should we wear???

We are from the Skinners School Tunbridge Wells and we have organised a charity auction to take place at the school. The dress cose for the night is smart casual. However, we will be serving the food. Should we wear suits, other smart clothes or a pair of shorts and our World Challenge (the thing we r raising money for) t- shirts - Please help Remember we r only 15 years old

  1. You should all wear the t-shirts that you are selling.... and sensible shoes.
  2. have you any of the T-shirts to wear?
  3. Wear the things you're raising the money for.
  4. I don't know what you should wear but shorts and T shirt is not very smart.
  5. Wear your T-shirts by all means - you need to remind people of your purpose - but I wouldn't wear shorts to serve food, it looks slightly incongruous; jeans or smart chinos would be better.
  6. Hi there, You could wear something that will make you feel good in. And something that will look cool to wear. Or something sweet. Anyway good luck on it. BE brave. And have lots of fun. God loves you so much. God bless you.
  7. When i worked with horses i met Harvey Smith. I apologised to him because i had my riding gear on (in a fancy hotel where he was giving a talk). He said "don't apologise, you are at a horse related occasion so no problem, with wearing horsey clothes". You wear your t-shirts with pride, thats casual. The smart part could be black trousers and shoes (only if you want). Though i think its very smart and admirable that a group of young people like yourselves have the initiative to do what you are for the benefit of others. Just a pity there isn't loads more like you. You could be stood in rags for all i would care its what your doing thats important. Well Done !! Have a great time and 'enjoy' it Wishing you every success.
  8. wear what can feel you comfort and suitable in price
  9. Wear your World Challange T-shirt, of course...
  10. Why would anyone ever wear a suit? Wear something comfortable and natural. Can't go wrong.
  11. As it's 'smart casual', wear your World Challenge T-shirts, long trousers (not jeans) and shoes (not sports shoes). I suggest the t-shirts only to advertise your cause; in other circumstances I would've said a long-sleeve shirt. Hope you have fun and raise lots of money. World Challenge have wonderful programmes and you'll have a great time. Remember, what you put into the programme you more than get out of it - and I'm not talking in terms of money.
  12. Well, smiley248 this is a complex matter. Personnaly since the night is smart casual i feel the host should, naturally, be smart. Therefore I believe that black trousers, black shoes and a black bow-tie should be worn with a white shirt. Thos would be perfect for the night, and give that touch of class too!
  13. quite a predicament you have, I suggest you wear whatever you feel comfortable in. In this occasion i would personally wear an appropriate, entertaining t-shirt perhaps embroidered with a witty slogan such as "100% attitude" (of course secretly meaning altitude) or even "frozen cookie co" - the list is endless. some khakis (as that is the vocabulary john grisham uses) or even a t-bone rightfully said a bow tie, jet black of course now, the hair i find olive oil to be superb for parting the hair, this look gives an powerful yet intelligent look. remember you must shave the pubis - this is vital i hope this helps, cheerio
  14. keep it simple, go naked
