We're a Big Cat Rescue. At the present time we have 13 big cats at our sanctuary, near San Diego, Ca. That's including 4 Bengal Tigers, 3 African Lions etc. We have given these, once abused some close to death, beautiful, powerful animals, a second chance and a forever home. We rely on donations and the two ( now down to one ) fundrasor we put on, there at the ranch each year, to continue our cause. There are so many in need of rescue, our problem is that with feeding these big cats, and vet bills on top of a very expensive insurance etc. We are looking at around $21,000. mthly Yea! No one gets paid, we all volunteer all of our time. Some things we have done, as a way to help raise money, have been, ( bring your tent, we have volunteers supervising, sleeping under the stars, with the sounds of the cats. We would do smores, etc. We charged I think around $100. adult & maybe $ 25 or $ 50 for kids. I think we did, so so with that. We just had our big fundrasor, where we get things donated for silent & live auctions. But I dont no how to really get people (professionals) to maybe donate their service (exmp. live auctioneer) Its only a couple hrs. Yet by the time we pay him the $2,000 he wants and everyone else, were not that much ahead. I need help! Suggestions! Anything. I apologize for this book you just had to read. I'm just reaching out to anyone that can give me any ideas or thoughts or suggestions. I appreciate your time. Thank you. Barbara S.
