- Either put in a much higher bid (so you go over their highest limit) or snipe it in the last three seconds.
- you put in your maximum bid (the highest price your WILLING to pay for the item) example: i put my maximum bid at $30.00 you bid $10.00 the computer atomatically bids for me my bid placed is $10.50 you bid $20.00 computer atomatically bids for me agian my bid is $20.50 you bid $35.00 you currently have the high bid
- You put in the highest price that you are prepared to go up to in the usual "bid now" box. ebay will then update the bid in increments to keep you ahead of the game. You only end up paying the maximum price if the other person keeps bidding and making the price go up. And you'd better not be after "my" camera - I've chased six in the last two days and lost out every time. Edit ;- as I said, you just put it into the normal box - and ebay does the rest. I did finally get a camera - max bid was £5.00 but ebay only took it to .99 pence as there were no other bidders.
- Whenever you enter a maximum bid, it will automatically keep going up if the current bid is still lower than your maximum bid. Once the current bid hits your max bid it stops, until you put a higher bid, so in your case, he must have set a max bid that has been higher then yours every time, so it keeps bidding for him. Hope this made sense!
- hi there , everyone is correct in their answers but you may find this link interesting ..other than this you will have to purchase an automatic bidder or sniper software programme. click the link and look at the link on the page telling you about `automatic bidding- from ebay
- You just put your maximum bid in for say £25 and it will bid automatically against anyone else who bids until it reaches £25. When it does, you will get an e-mail to warn you that you have been outbid. Personally i find it best to watch the item and put my bid in at the last minute.
