What the heck is going on with GEARS OF WAR 2!?

ok lastnight i was playing gears of war 2 and i was on lvl 39 almost 40, everything was unlocked and i had all the collectables. I go on today (the following day) to play again and im lvl 1, everything was locked and its like if im just starting to play Gears of war for the first time, what the hell? can someone tell me please?
