How do i get a major discount on airline tickets to the UK?

I and my 2 sons were invited to vacation in Scotland with free room and board, if we could come up with airfare... so far we can't come up with enough... so I'm wondering if there is a site where you can get a major discount on tickets or another way to get there :) Thanks in advance.

1. There is no magical, secret discounts for airfare. The biggest discounts are available when you purchase your airfare the fartherest out.
