Are women wearing garter belts and stockings in the office more often?

The women in my office building have always worn nylons, but I just assumed they were pantyhose. I've recently started noticing women wearing stockings instead (i've caught a glimpse on a few occasions). Is this becoming a new trend or have they always worn stockings and garters?

1. It's called being 'recession proof'.
2. Personally, I prefer stockings. My preference began when in my early 20's thru today (mid-30's). If you get a little run in the leg of pantyhose, they're ruined. If you get a run in one stocking, you can toss just the one. I can't say if this is a trend -- but it saves money. Perhaps some women do it just because it feels sexier. But it has the financial advantage too.
3. There's a definite trend towards that retro 40's look, which ties into the roller girl/tattoo'd crowd. But I am guessing this is as much wishfull thinking as anything on your part. Personally, most girls I know wear thigh highs, with no need for garters.
4. Stockings are just a better idea. Less restricting & yes you don't ruin a whole pair of pantyhose.
