I'm a new agent, in CA! And i've been with a broker who does both mortgage and real estate, but, am getting no where. Is it best to join a known Real Estate Company! I've meet two ppl that work at Coldwell Banker and they make over 1M a year, ofcourse they've been in the business for 20+ yrs...but, how do you choice a good company/broker?? is it about Coldwell Banker, ReMax, etc...or is it who you know???? I see also allot of ads as "buyers agent" hiring, join today??? is this a good idea?? i know the market is all about REO properties, and its only going to get busy?? Please advice!! Thanks

- Before you pick a broker review why you are not doing well. Review you business plan (buyer/seller demographics , sales need per year, marketing plan etc) . If you have followed your plan without getting results have you modified it to try a different approach . Remember , reguardless which broker you pick you still have to have your plan to get business. Brokers don't give you business. They process the business you get . Some brokers have training programs that can help you get started and teach you the rules, but if you do not follow what the traing teaches you you will not suceed. In my area only about 20% ogf the realtors make great money, the rest are average to part timers. The differece between great/average is the marketing plans and that great realtors treat their job like their own business and work very hard at it promoting their business.
