Can people living in the US bid on things on Yahoo! Auctions Japan?

I want to get some things off of Y! Auctions Japan, but I don't know if I can even bid/buy off of it. Can I?

1. It depends on the auctioneer. For each item, you can check on the Yahoo Japan Auction site whether the auctioneer accepts a request for overseas shipment. If you can read Japanese, there is an option for "海外発送" under the "送料、商品の受け取りについて" section. If it's "対応します," that means overseas shipment is available, and If it's "対応しません," not available. However, many of them don't offer overseas shipment just because they do not understand English. If you can ask in Japanese whether they can ship to the United States, they might change their minds and accept your request.
