Video games (Kingdom Hearts), buying a second copy just to keep?

As many people on here probably already know, Kingdom Hearts is my favorite video game series! I already have all the games that are out and am planning to buy the new ones when they come out. Anyways, in your opinion, is it ok to buy a copy of each of the games including the games that will be coming out, so a grand total of: 1. Kingdom Hearts 1 2. Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories 3. Kingdom Hearts 2 4. Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep (not out yet) 5. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 (not out yet) 6. Kingdom Hearts Coded (not out yet) but never use them? I would like to have them as collectibles! Is this an ok thing to do in your opinion, to never use the game you buy and keep it sealed up in the original packaging? Will the games ever become scratched by remaining in their original packaging and not be able to be used in the future?

1. woa i do the same thing with like everything i have two copies of pretty much everything i own, but i keep the second copies in a safe, just in case of a fire it wont get scratched unless you take it out of the box
2. Coded is a mobile game, so it will be impossible to "own" it like that.
3. Why not just buy one copy and make a playable backup? Then you can keep your original game in mint condition in the safe or where ever it is safe. The following book shows you how to make and play backups of video games on most any platform. http://tinyurl.com/24ufzo

If you can, yes, it is a good idea, Kingdom Hearts is definitly becoming just as good as the Final Fantasy Series, so when they announce that Final Kingdom Hearts Game, I'm pretty sure your extra copies (If you didn't use them) will be worth alot. and no, they won't become scratched (Unless you sit on it or somebody flings it across the room
