Have you ever had an "Antiques Roadshow" purchase?
I don't mean actually being on the show. I just mean finding out that something you bought for cheap was really valuable. I bought an Oriental rug for $25 at a garage sale and later found out it was worth closer to $1000.

- Mm..sorta. My parents found this My Melody Sanrio Puppet from 1982- I'm sure they got it from the thrift shop. It's worth around 80 dollars..
- Yes, seeing the fact that my parents have collected antiques for a long time and know about almost everything antique.
- no i wish! but that was a good find for you!!
- No, but you shouldn't with that bull as your avatar. It will destroy everything!
- I work in a thrift store, so I've made many such purchases. Among the sweet finds... Campaign pins from Teddy Roosevelt ca.1902, Korean opium pipe ca.1830's, Powerful Katrinka wind up toy ca.1928, boyonette, civil war era, Regal Octofone octave mandolin ca.1929. The list goes on. You won't believe some of the things people get rid of, not knowing what they have. And the reason it's hard to find this stuff in thrift stores? Sorry, it's because the employees get them
- No, but that'd be cool.
