what is the most profitable everyday item to sell on ebay?

I need $cash$ ebay has a deal going now until 9/7 that all auction style listings are free to insert, you still have to pay the final value fee if it sells. It's been going on a while and I have tried seller a bunch of random things, clothing, shoes, books. I know I am not going to get anywhere near what I paid back for them plus after ebay and paypal rape you on fees there is just no chance. I always end up selling a designer pair of shoes I paid $90 for $12 on ebay then ebay take like $1.20 and paypal take like $1 so in the end I get $9.80. Just an example. I don't have anything great no antiques, art, coins and the like so what are people most successful selling on ebay when it comes to everyday items. I know I am going to take a loss but I'd rather be able to actually sell several items so the end result was worth the trouble.
