Can you make money in real estate without being in a big real estate company like Prudential?

- If you mean selling homes, NO. If you are renting homes, apts or condos then yes. Since the housing market took a dive the rental business has thrived and there are not enough of homes, apts or condos to rent.
- The notoriety of the brokerage might help for people who are unfamiliar with real estate, but to people who understand real estate they wouldn't care which company you choose. It all boils down to YOUR approachability and trustworthiness, dedication/diligence, customer service skills etc. There are many realtors in my board (over 10,000 people in my local board) and there are plenty of them that are top 10% and aren't from the major brokerages like Re/Max, Prudential, etc. It really does depend on you as a person (since you literally are selling yourself to people and they will buy/sell/rent with you if they like you), your business plan, your dedication etc.
- Sure.
- Yes you can definitely make money in the real estate market. For home properties use the listing services such as mls or realtor to find good deals in your local area, and either flip or sell for profit. For land properties I would go with landealer.com where you are able to find residential land, commercial land, hunting land and basically all types of land for sale
