ebay automatic bidding?
if my highest bid was 40 dollars, but it shows 20 dollars on the screen if another person bids 30 dollars as their highest bid do i have to pay 31 dollars for the item if i win, or do i only pay 20 dollars, since they haven't bet my max bid

- 31 dollars!
- It will just raise your bid to the next increment, which is usually one dollar unless its a very inexpensive item. You'll pay 31.00 Never ever bid something outrageous like 1000.00 to assure a win. Ive seen the opposing person bid 999.00 to assure HIS win, and the person who bid 1000 had to pay Ebay and sellers love when people bid far ahead of time..they both make more money. I started on Ebay when it first began, and you quickly learn, you dont bid until the last couple minutes, or you only cost yourself money. Its not like a regular auction, that ends when no one will go higher. This ends when the time is up. You bid, they bid, you bid.. total waste of money. It doesnt matter who is winning, it matters who is winning, when the time is up.
