What's the difference between softball/baseball belts and normal belts?

As in, are there any special functions or properties that softball belts have & why I can't use a normal belt for softball / baseball?

1. You can't cause it'd look weird and out of uniform.
2. I guess you can wear anything you want. The belt is officially part of the uniform though so someone may give you grief...
3. In baseball, the uniform is special. Why do you think managers wear them? To walk onto the field, you need a uniform, and you should look like a ball player not a mix-match hood rat!
