Ebay: Question about Automatic Bidding?

If I make a maximum bid of... $10 for example, but the highest bid is $5, meaning I will win the auction, will I be charged for my maximum bid ($10) or will I be charged for the minimum that can beat out all the other auctioners? (i.e. $5.50)

1. You will only be charged for the minimum, Ebay hasnt even taken that money out of your account yet. Its just saying that if the auction goes that high it will keep going untill its over 10.00.
