Why doesn't O'reilly Auto Parts like military people?
I'm sad to see that oreilly auto parts only offers a 5% discount to military personell when Kragen, the company they purchased, offered 10%. Apparently oreilly doesnt like military & military veterans that much. You may not know that O'reilly bought out Kragen.

- You should ask their corporate office about that. The company isn't obligated to offer any discount.
- maybe they can't afford a larger discount in this economy. At least you still get a discount.
- I am retired military, be glad they care enough to give 5%. For me, I support my local PX and do as much shopping there as I can.
- You might want to see what their non-discount price and compare the two. It could be that Kragen charges more overall for parts while the other supplier has a lower baseline price. Remember that the economy is bad for everyone and some businesses just can't cut prices any lower in order to remain in business. I am a vet and I understand your frustration and the supplier may even be a vet himself.
- Both Kragen and O'reilly are ''''mass merchandisers'. You may want to check prices on the same parts at NAPA or a leading indepentant auto parts store. The can say what they want but after an incident with a brake master clylinder a few years back I'm staying with NAPA or maybe CarQuest.........
