is there an official scoring guide to firearm condition?
I see local adds and auction adds on gunbroker that have info like "condition 99% or 80%" ect. ect. but is this just the sellers interpretation as to the condition or is there actually a scoring chart as far as condition?

- I guess the seller rates it. I think its based on condition of the blueing, the bore, pitting, dings, cracks, or scratches on the stock ect.
- The leading resource for firearms pricing and grading is the Blue Book of Gun Values. The front of the book has a photo grading section that has high-res pictures of different firearms in various conditions based on percentage of original finish remaining. Guns can be compared to the pictures to establish condition.
