Are the figures real for antiques in pawn stars?

In the tv show pawn stars they always show some old pieces of paper documents, money, coins, even some old toys and other antiques going for thousands of dollars. Is it real? Do their figures correlate with the actual market prices? E.g. in one of the episodes they show a bond paper from 1775, printed on a paper with British Crown's watermarks and it's worth $25K

  1. Yes
  2. Yes they are
  3. Of course. They just stage it a bit. All the sales and prices are real
  4. I have been a dealer for about 20 years, and so I feel comfortable saying that most of the prices are right. Some of the items they buy, however, seem as though they'd be hard to find a buyer for. The helicopter is one example. But I'm sure that they have clients in mind for those big-ticket items before they even buy them. That's how most of us operate.
