Do precious metal antiques appreciate with the price of the metal markets?
Do copper, gold, silver antiques go up in value according to the actual prices on the metal markets? I mean-if you buy a copper kettle for $15.00 today will it appreciate in value by the end of the coming week "IF" the copper (trading) markets go up in value? The same question for gold and silver antiques? Thanks

- The value of the metals in the item, does, yes. But don't forget that the cost of the item includes the cost of manufacture, transportation and selling it to you as well. There may only be a dollars worth of metal in the item. So chances are the value of the item will not increase unless it is a rare item or an antique.
- If you're willing sell it for scrap and have it melted down instead of it appreciating it as it is.
