Belt Auction

I need to do the following things to my Scooter but I have questions?

Brand new Chinese Scooter. I read that if I do the following I'll get 6k miles on it. "Change out all of the fluids as soon as you receive your scoot (using mineral motor oil for break-in and synthetic gear oil). I even replaced the brake fluid. Replace the tire valve stems if they came with those right-angle Chinese pieces of crap. Put in an NGK plug and cap and a new fuel filter. Change the belt to a Gates and the rollers to Dr. Pulley sliders. Check the valve clearances. Go over every nut and bolt. Do all of that BEFORE your first ride." Does this sound right? No doubt it will void my warranty of 2 years. Is it worth it? Here is the link. http://chinesescoots.forumwise.com/chinesescoots-thread13636.html

  1. Yes. It's worth it!
  2. charl you are all over this section, don't mess w/ all that crap, it is well worth more having the 2 year warranty, then trying something you heard or read, stick to the manufactures request and keep that warranty in good standings, it be worth it in the long run when the scoot is about 1 3/4 years old!!?!
