Is it bad to have pictures of dead people you don't know in your bedroom?
I love antiques and buying old things with a history, so I have a couple of really old pictures of a man. I don't know who he is, but I know he's long gone. They're hanging up on my wall, and last week I had family come stay and they stayed in my room. Point is, they all freaked out and told me that you summon the spirit if you have their picture without knowing them. My mom freaked out and told me to put them down. I'm curious to know if this is true. What are the consequences of me having these photographs?

- I lolled so hard
- That's not true. My mom had a picture of Elvis hanging in her room for like. 10 years before I told her who he was.
- it's spooky, i'm sure it can bring negative energy and ghosts. it depends who it is.
- That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Tell your relatives (religious, no doubt), that being superstitious in this way is breaking the FIRST of God's Ten Commandments. Put whatever you want on your wall. Appreciating a man who is dead and gone is much more in line with Christ's message of love than summoning evil spirits.
- I don't think its bad. Maybe some might say its a little weird. As for the ghosts and spirits of the dead coming if you don't know them, that's just weird. Never heard of that.
- Ghosts do not exists, and no spirits would haunt you if you hang a dead person's photo on your wall
