Have you guys got any trouble with rental car company? once i rented car from Discount car company, which car had already thousand scratches on it. when i returned the car, one of the staffs said i made some scratch.....after all those drama, they send me $2200.00 invoice. small scratch cost that much? where can i get help? what should i do? please help

1. Since you didn't complete the scratch paperwork before you left the rental car facility, you are pretty much out of luck.
2. $2200.00 is an outrageous price for a scratch. Here are some suggestions. 1. If you paid for the rental with a credit or debit card, call the customer service number on the back of the card and ask about CDW or LDW insurance coverage for rental cars. You may have coverage for the damages and not even know it. 2. Make some calls to some body shops and find one that does free on site written estimates. Then call the car rental company to make an appointment with a manager to see this $2200.00 scratch on the car again. Try to get the body shop person there at the same time and have them do their own appraisal ... go from there. 3. Offer to purchase the car ... discount rental companies often get their vehicles at wholesale or auction prices. Ask to see the original bill of sale with the mileage and determine a fair resale price, taking into account the miles used and depreciation.
