Is there any way to speed up the process of eBay bidding?

I made a bid on ebay on a video game and I have been the only bid since it has been going on. Is there any way to make the time left to bid (another week) less? I just want the freaken game for my boyfriend. :(

1. Not unless you can convince the seller to shorten the time. My guess is, they would rather wait it out and hopefully get more money.
2. Only way to do so is talk to seller and see if they will do a buy it now option. They will have to cancel auction and repost probably ask you to pay fees and include them in buy it now. 3. If there is no "Buy it Now" option, then no. Auctions typically start at a lower price than what the seller wants so that bids will get going on it. That's just the way auctions work, both online and in the real world. There needs to be time for bids to accumulate.
