  1. Salt and Pepper shakers, old comic books, Barbie dolls, unusual calendars, bottles, bells. Can't think of anything else at the moment. Sorry
  2. Military uniform buttons (or just antique buttons), hankerchiefs, cameos, presidential campaign propaganda. Or my favorite that have no monetary value, I love love love LOVE old family photographs, I like to make up stories about who is in the picture and what else they did that day.
  3. Thimbles. Although you get very expensive ones, you can buy very nice ones in second hand stores, antique markets and garage sales, even online at places like www.bidorbuy.com. They make a lovely display, and everyone has a story to them
  4. whatever you choose, you will be able to collect 'most' of what you're looking for, but to complete your collection will require an item or two that you can't find or can't afford. Books are good, cigar bands, baseball cards, advertising, toys, magazines, really there is no limit to what you will find interesting. The only reason to do this is because you enjoy it, don't attempt to make money at it, it may be possible but you have to be an expert.
