military discount hotels in greater Ft. Lewis area?

I am looking for "reasonable" priced good/decent, family friendly hotels in the Ft. Lewis, Washington area, which actually offer a military discount for soldiers. When calling Lodging hotels on Ft. Lewis base I was told that they don't give military discounts although it explicitly states they do, on their website. =(( The hotels I have found all tend to range between $85 to $999 per night. (Outrageous) I would greatly appreciate any sincere help in this, preferably from someone that has actually been in the same situation or is from that area. =) Thank you in advance and God bless you. 1. military discount has never been cheaper than just the regular rate whenever i have looked. just fyi.
2. AAA discounts are almost ALWAYS a better deal. one no one is obligated to offer a military discount. 2, those that do tend to do one of two things: offer it off of rack rate( the most expensive rate) or to require you to be on orders. and even then, they may just charge the going per diem rate anyway so you don;t actually save any money at all. BTW $85 a night is on the low side of average for decent accommodations. want to pay less, then stick with Motel 6 and get what you pay for. .
