what is the order of the colored belts in karate?

i take karate and i just started like a week ago. i want to know what the order of the belts are.

1. Where I train, it's like; White-Yellow-Orange-Purple-Blue-Blue Stripe-Green-Green Stripe-Brown 3rd-Brown 2nd-Brown 1st-Black 1st.
2. One school may have a different order than the other, or another school may use more or less belts in their system, but the order is usually something like this. white yellow orange green blue purple brown black (1st degree to 10th)

4. **************** The only way to know for sure is to ask your instructor. There are about 50 different styles of Karate. Each style has a different number of color belts, stripes, tips, ...etc. The order of the colors can be different as well as the number of belts used. Even withing a style, some schools may have a different rank structure. Ask you instructor. Best of Luck! ....
5. Some styles are white-green-brown-black. Some have 10 coloured belts, and some have up to 3 mon between them. Be specific please.

7. There are different styles and therefor different belt rankings for those styles. The style I'm in and teach in (Wado-Kai) is --White--Red--Green--Brown-- and Black. For your style, school, you need to ask your instructor.

9. When I took karate, it was white, yellow, purple, blue, green, and then three ranks of brown. Black was the instructor level. It is hard to say because any school can have its own system of ranks. In the WTF only black belts really count, so a school can have as few or as many color ranks as it wants.

It depends on the school and the style, I do Shotokan Karate and the ranking system goes like this: White --White + 1 stripe -- White + 2 stripes -- White + 3 stripes Yellow Orange Blue Green Purple Brown -- Brown + 1 stripe -- Brown + 2 stripes -- Brown + 3 stripes Black -- And then all the dans for black belts; i believe ours is until 10 dan? Not sure
