Do auction and bidding sites have governing bodies? And how do they makes their money Pay per click?
Where do bidding sites get their money from. Can someone explain please? Explain both UK and US companies please. More interested in the UK ones though!

- They don't get money from me when I visit their site. Ad scripts are blocked and so are all the secret page redirects that they have hidden. Result is I see no trash from them and they get paid nothing for secretly redirecting me. WIN WIN
- Auction sites take a fee from the sellers. Most charge a set fee to place an item 'for auction' and then charge a 'completion' fee (if it sells) based on the wining bidders price = see, for example, eBay. 'Pay per click' is a scam invented by the 'search' sites (such as Google) whereby they take a fee from the business that they direct THEIR users to. This means they place adverts from the companies that pay them the most at the 'top' of the 'hit list' (see, for example, 'adwords'). You can avoid having this sort of advertising forced in front of you by using 'stripping' proxies such as 'scroogle' ..
