How is it that eBay bidding works when buying a car?

I want to know if the actual car value is a lot less than bid, will they give you the car at the bidding price?

  1. Rarely do auctions end at a lower price than the car is worth. The bid price means nothing while the auction is still active. The only bid that counts is the high bid when the auction closes. If the reserve has been met the car will sell to the highest bidder. If the reserve has not been met the auction will end with a NO SALE. The reserve is the lowest possible price the seller will accept. The reserve is never revealed until it has been exceeded. eBay is just like a real live auction. An item comes up for sale. Bidders place their bid and when the auctioneer ends the bidding the highest bidder wins.
