PLEASE help me something about eBay Shill Bidding?
I was reported for Shill Bidding on eBay and they cancelled my listings. I was just wondering if the previous bidders on my items would recieve a notification that the listing was cancelled due to Shill Bidding... if so I think I will get a really bad reputation! Oh dear... Helen :)

- You don't have my sympathy. I'm an eBay buyer and I've been ripped off by a seller bidding me up. You or a family member can't open another account and bid on your own items with the purpose of making the price go higher or seeing what the bidders max bid amount is, if you don't want an item to sell below a certain price, you put a reserve on it. EBay isn't stupid, the can track via email info etc! As a seller, how do you feel if bidders don't pay you, or lodge a paypal dispute and freeze the money. Not happy? Well, that how I feel about shill bidders! Yes, buyers do get an email from eBay saying that you breached eBay guidelines. And They may not let you sell again too!
- Don't worry about your reputation. Unless you successfully appeal the ruling, you won't be allow to list anything else. If the charge is valid, you SHOULD have a bad reputation.
- Your bidders will get an email stating "The listing was cancelled by eBay". That's all they will see. Experienced eBAy users will know that means eBay caught you doing something that violated the eBay user agreement. Did eBay just cancel your listings, or did they cancel your account? They usually cancel your account when they can show proof that you were shill bidding.
