- there is no set standard nor order this is up to the sensei / organization ask your instructor they will tell you thats there job
- This varies depending on what style you are studying. It can even vary within the same style depending on what school you are in and the instructors preference. My style has 2 different allowable ways to grade white belt to green belt ranks and some schools use colors such as yellow and red which mine does not. And in Okinawa they only have white, green, brown and black. So the answer is depends on your dojo and style. These are usually determined by the head organization as to what is and is not allowable.Good luck in your study.Hard work and effort and you will realize it is not the color of your belt but your gains in mind, body and spirit that are most important.
- Two I've heard: white-orange-blue-green-red-black and white-yellow-green-blue-brown-black. There are many others. The purpose for the colors is so that the instructors have a general idea of your skill level, plus to give you goals to work towards.
