Research: Help with Construction Bidding?

I am doing a research on Construction Bidding and the process. I cant seem to find exactly what does a construction bid consist of. Can someone help me?! Also, what types of contracts are there in the construction idustry..where can i look at sample.. THANKS!

1. With the big money contracts, you'd have to look to government and unions. You need to know the right people, and shake all the right hands on the way up and down. Sad, but its quite corrupted, that's why its not nearly the least expensive one that wins, or else they know in advance of the other lowest bids, come in just below, then come up with extra expenses 60-75% of the way through. If you go to a public school, and the teachers are unionized, do not tell them the truth of my answer. Then you'd be stuck going with a goody 2-shoes way of business which just simply doesn't happen often in reality, which is why its hard to find info on it. Good luck kid.
