Just sold a Gold Coin on an eBay auction - Winner is from Poland - Not sure to send or cancel?
Hello. Maybe someone can help me with this. I had a gold coin up for auction and it sold to a person from Poland. He has not paid as of yet, but said he would do so shortly. After going on to the USPS website I notice that Poland has restrictions as listed below: Prohibitions (130) Arms and ammunition. Articles, printed matter, written documents or other articles contrary to interests of Poland. Coins; bank notes; currency notes (paper money) including currency in circulation in the Polish Republic; traveler’s checks; platinum, gold, or silver (manufactured or not); precious stones; jewelry; and other valuable items. Perishable infectious biological substances Perishable noninfectious biological substances Radioactive materials. I have never had this happen to me since I have been on eBay. Should I just email the winner and tell them straight up I am unable to ship this coin to him and offer it to the next highest bidder or what. I really am not sure what to do at this point. One thing is I really don’t want to send it taking a chance it is opened then it could be confiscated and that would be it.

- I really don't understand what they mean by all that, however if it says NO coins, I wouldn't send it. But, who says they'll open it? Just tell the buyer if he wants it, he'll have to pay u first, then take the risk! Simple as that, let him decide, u just make sure u get yours off top!
- I'd say just tell him what you read, let him decide. If he says yes, save all the emails as proof that you did as he said. :)
- eBay has a help desk. Ask them what you should do, and if they will back you up and not the buyer if the buyer makes a claim. Even more importantly, ask Paypal, because they are the ones who will take your money away if they side with the buyer. Then, you'll have no money and no coin. I don't have problems like this because I make it clear that I do not sell outside of the US. Not even to Canada anymore, because the cost of the insurance to protect myself from dishonest buyers who claim they never got it makes my items not competitive with those who are willing to take the risk.
