Savage model 111 ?
I have a Savage model 111, and I would like to replace the black synthetic stock. The stock I want is a gray synthetic stock. Where can I find one? Click the link to see a picture of the stock. Thanks. http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=84827029

- I would recommend you contact Savage Customer Service/Parts Department and see if they will sell you a "Gray" Savage Stock.Solid Gray is new for Savage this year, and they are the only Gray colored Synthetic stocks I know of. HS Precision stocks makes a Black "Web" over solid Gray background is the next closest color I've seen. Any stock that will fit the 110 series will fit your Savage 111.
- Well, you didn't tell the "why" of your question. What don't you like about your current stock. I have the 110 and absolutely love it. (The composites are so much more weather-proof.) It looks to me that it would just be cheaper to sell the 111 and buy a Remington which comes in gray. I don't know if you've ever floated a barrel before, but it is a real chore. You basically have to rebuild the whole gun, shaving, shaping and bedding the barrel. I again, say if you want a gray stock, sell the 111 and buy the 700. Of course if you really want to change stocks and put that much time into it, go with a walnut stock and really make it look good. Just my opinion. Good Hunnting!
