When buying antiques and collectibles how do you know when the authenticity label is authentic?
Public Comments
- You might want to ask that in another section.
- go on line and run a check on it.
- There should be another authenticity label that proves the first authenticity label is authentic. But I'm not sure how you can find out if that one is authentic.
- check for really old dust particals?? hahaha
- Most antiques do not have labels, unless they are on the back of paintings or a tab on a Steiff Bear. Get a book of makers marks for pottery.
- It should come with a provenance which is traceable.
- Personally I wouldn't have a clue I'd have to rely on someone's word
- aren't they stamped.'
