how do i locate local police auctions for free?

1. Sounds dumb but call local tow companies. I've gone to a few and the cars are cheap, but most of them need some extra TLC, but all in all fixable. I've had friends get decient cars for under $500. Just make sure to bring cash! cause that's all they'll except. You can also call your local polic station that might help as well, or ask them who does their towing for the city cause that tow company would know for sure. Good luck.
