Belt Auction

How do i find out about local repo/impound autions?

I am looking to buy a repo/impound car. How do I know if there will be an auction locally? Do they announce it in the newspaper, how are people aware of it? And any info about how these autions usually work (like fees or whatever) will be appreciated.

Public Comments

  1. Call your local police station via the non emergency number.
  2. Do a search for "car auction" in your yellow pages web site. I did for mine and found several places that handle car auctions. Call each one to see type of auction.
  3. Your city police department can direct you to any impound auctions. Bank reposessions are sold at Dealer Only auctions, never Public auctions. Each auction will vary on fees, and method of payment allowed. Once you find one, they will give you all information regarding registration, certification, and payment methods. Realize that you will be buying a vehicle without ever driving it, knowing no history about it, and most impounds are not worth much, if anything at all.
  4. Go to http://CarAuctions.deals-guide.com , you will find impounded car auctions there Hope this helps
