Belt Auction

Does anyone know how to attend a local auction for forclosed homes?

I mean do you have to be preapproved to start biding on ahouse, do you talk to the real estate agent thats incharge of the foreclosure? Do you have to have all the money straight forward? I do not know anything about auction biding

  1. look on the internet there is usually a number you have to call to be put on the list to attend
  2. I think the best ones to go to are the one that your city auctions off due to taxes , usually the lawyer for the city handles all the affairs and you just go to their offices to do the necessary paper work.
  3. Here is a website you can go too that will answer your questions. http://www.ushomeauction.com
  4. Yes, you do need preapproval before you bid at auction as these bids are legally binding and you could find yourself in a sticky situation if you are unable to get a home loan. Not to mention you might just fall in love with a house only to find out you can't have it!. You'll also need a deposit or deposit bond. By all means talk to the agent, though their main concern is getting a good sell price. The agent and the auctioneer will ask you to come forward, or come and find you if you place the winning bid.
