UK Police are on a rampage!!?

Is this happening in your area to? My local police have been out in force along our roads 'spot checking' car drivers....I have seen so many cars being transported with big stickers on their windows stating.. .'No MOT, No Insurance, Or No Licence.....Another car confiscated by the Police'!!! it may be just be a local thing...but beware they are coming!!! Just out of curiosity...considering how many i am seeing means the mags court must be pretty booked up at the moment.....or do you think its an on the spot prosecution by the road and then the cars get scrapped/auctioned off without the courts involvment PS I don't have a problem with it at all ...im just interested to know if its happening where you are.

  1. yep we have it going on in ealing and southall
  2. Go, you Bobby's, don't let them get away with a thing.
  3. I am glad they are doing it should keep all the stupid kids off the road who are knocking down old ladys and bumping up everyone elses insurance premium
  4. Yes, its providing great entertainment for the gangs of 30 or more alcohol swigging, knife carrying teenagers watching on
  5. How do you figure that strict enforcement is being 'on a rampage'? Did you by chance get caught and get a ticket?
  6. not here it isn't!
  7. I have not seen this happen in my area. I am glad if they are doing it though. I know someone who was the 'victim' of registration plate cloning. They were getting parking tickets galore as well as congestion charge notices. Not nice for them, and some tosser is getting away with breaking the law elsewhere. I do know someone who has hit by a driver like this, no insurance, fake plates. Luckily he was able to find out who the driver was and has reported it to the police. I do not think it is enough that these morons have the cars confiscated. They should have to do a long spell of community service to benefit the society that they are abusing.
  8. usually a roadside fixed penalty of £200. But while you sound so self-righteous here rambling on about the police being on the rampage, how would you feel if you or someone you love was hit by one of these cars with no licence, MOT or insurance? What about if you were driving along one day and somebody ran into the back of you and wrecked your car and they werent insured? It is these uninsured idiots who make everybody elses insurance expensive
  9. The purose of the campaign is the get as many uninsured and unlicenced vehicles off the roads as possible. Why should we, the taxpaying majority, tolerate people who do not pay their road fund licensee fee, have no MoT and probably no insurance either? We are no longer tolerating this sort of anti-social behaviour. As far as we, Middle England, is concerned, the police have our permission to crush up any such vehicle and arrest the owners there of and charge them with the maximum the law allows. How dare these lawbreakers behave as they do. Time is fast running out for them and about time too. The police are paid to 'ENFORCE' the law and that's exactly what they're beginning to do. Thankyou to all our police officers here in UK for the hard work which you all do on our behalf. It's only the thin blue line which stands between we, the civizens, and chaos. I think it is high time that the PC twaddle of refering to the police as a police service be stopped. We should call the police what they were always intended to be, a force, as in POLICE FORCE. Here in London it was called The Metropolitian Police Force - the most famous police force in the world. Now they are expected to be everyone's nanny.
  10. the posters they put up are a modified version of "if you do not do as vee say vee have vays of making you do as vee say." there are ten million out of work, but they still need transport, because their economy is so sparce they take risks without insurance, which has risen above affordability for many af our citizens. same old story kick the poor of the road leave more room for the rich. to confiscate property and crush it because of economic oppresion is an cat of war.
  11. And whats your problem exactly? Firstly, If an unninsured driver hit you then you'd be the first to moan. Secondly, what do criminals travel around in? By stopping cars we build up intelligence as to what cars they are using. We also get to confiscate their cars when being driven without a licence or insurance. Like I said whats the problem?
  12. ...I don't understand! If we stay off the roads and streets and keep our head burried in paper work, then all I hear is asked 'where are all the police'... But when we get out there and do something proactive, it's followed by cries of 'watch out the gaffers are about...!' So what's the right thing to do? Also, dependant on the offences they will receive a fine or go to court, but they can plead to the court by post... so don't worry the Mags' will have plenty of appointment slots available...
  13. Its about time our police started putting their foot down with something
  14. If you bought an expensive new car and somebody passed you on the expressway and a piece of their vehicle fell off and smashed your windscreen causing you to run off the road and into a tree---and then you find they had No insurance?? How happy would you be? Laws seem extreme at times but have to have a certain amount of ruling or all would be lost! It just takes longer in different places to get around to policing your area. It seems expensive [your MOT] but as long as everyone else pays so should you to be protected, and the Council needs some bobs now and then too'
