A U.S. Immigation plan from a legal immigrant, what do you think?

Six easy steps First a big fence goes up Second, Anyone caught here illegally will be instantly deported and all assets confiscated and auctioned to help pay for the fence, guards and all the bills (i.e. medical) that illegals have run up, and you will be barred from enter this country legally for 5 years after 1 offence and permanently after 2 offenses. Third, any company or person caught employing an illegal will face heavy fines and/or imprisonment Fourth, any local or state agency/government that refused to take part in enforcing these rules will lose any federal money they are receiving and/or be fined. Fifth English will be declared the official language and all government related business (including schools) must be done in English. Sixth we will have a guest (short term) worker program, but anyone staying past their allotted time will face the consequences mentioned above. Also, any child born here of guest workers or illegal immigrants will have the same status as their parents and not be instant American Citizens Oh and BTW the fence is on the Southern AND Northern border. Thanks hotmomma, but as an Immigrant, even though I am now a citizen, I can't be president. I have tolerance for anyone who isnt breaking the law, I have no tolerance for those that do. I also have no problem with increasing the number of legal immigrants to this country, I actually think thats a good idea, but that is really a seperate issue. And of course this country was built on Immigrants, Im only talking about those who broke the laws of this country to get here. Pancho Villa, #3 Enforcement is always a problem, thats no reason not to make it the law. I'm not sure how #4 would cause any deaths.. thats refering to some city police department that refuses to uphold the law and arrest and turn over illegals. 5. Currently the United states has no official language. we need one and then we can stop wasting taxpayers money with gov. paid translators and translations of every single piece of paperwork. 6. I have no problem changingthe 14th amendment. Citizenship is taken for granted by way too many people. Any immigrant seeking citizenship in the USA needs to take a basic compatency/literacy test and a basic civic knowledge test. I think everyone should be required to take that test for citizenship

5. My short answer, your plan sucks big time. Especially the sixth, exploiting the immigrants who try to escape poverty, and then the end depriving them and their children the chance to become US citizens. You are an immigrant yourself, shame on you! Immigrants built this country and made it great, please be more tolerant.

Sound good on paper however will never happen. 1.- OK need to get done and can be done. 2. is already the law if you are deported more than 2 times you are be permanently band from this country. 3. That's the law but who care they said. no reinforcement. 4. that is a very complex subject are we let kids die in this country? 5. The official language is English in the USA. But because commercially is a market the Latin population is good for business to have everything in both languages, that way you have the two markets the English spoken and the Spanish too. Yes number six 6. we need to change the constitution because their is a place that say if you are born in USA territory meaning Land, water ship or plane You are an AMERICAN citizen. also if your parents are American Citizens and you born in some place else you are according to the USA an American citizen till you're 18 then you have to choose. sorry this is reality

8. I agree 100%. What everyone seems to be forgetting is that the word "illegals" doesn't mean any particular nationality. In this country, we have illegals from China, Russia, Cambodia, Guatemala, etc... not....I repeat not just from Mexico.
9. Do you honestly think our current Republican administration would risk the millions American business' make off illegal immigration? Nothing is more important than capitalists making money, but obviously you haven't been here long enough to realize that. Politicians love when fools like you talk about illegal immigration because then you're distracted from the real issues.
