When would be a good time to book discount airfare to Florida for Christmas week? Will the rates come down?

That's HIGH season for travel. No matter where you look, rates will be high. Sorry. The best advice I can offer is to shop around and compare... there's several airlines, and with the internet you can check it all from the comfort of your own home. If you're not too picky about timing, there's always waiting on standby, maybe?
I have always found that the best time to book is around 30-60 days before, closer to 30. However, since that's the busiest travel time of the year I'm not sure, either way it's going to be more to travel then, then other times of the year. Check out www.farecast.com, you can sign up to recieve alerts when the price meets or goes below a price that you have selected you want to pay. I recieved and email one day and booked it within a few hours, the next morning the price was back up by a couple hundred per person. I highly recommend!
